California State Old Time Fiddlers Association

The California State Old Time Fiddlers Association (CSOTFA) is a
501(C)(3)non profit organization that began informally in the early ‘50’s, and eventually incorporated in 1969 to preserve, perpetuate and promote the appeal and tradition of playing old time fiddle music.

At the time of this writing there are 9 active districts in cities throughout the State of California.  The State puts on a Yearly Fiddle Contest that is currently held each year in the Spring and located Oroville.

District 6 includes the Northern counties of California and oversees the Western Open Fiddle Contest that is held the 3rd full week in October in Red Bluff CA.

Anyone who is a resident of the State of California can become a member and all members become members by applying through their local district.  More information on the CSOTFA can be found at the State maintained website at:  www.csotfa.org
