This will be the Third Annual Bluegrass, Old Time & Americana Music & Art Event and will be held at the Cedar Crest Vineyards in Manton CA.  This is the main fundraising event for C.S.O.T.F.A. – District 6.  With a day full of great bands, beautiful views, great food, local wines and craft beers, this family fun event is guaranteed to be be about 10 degrees cooler than anything that is going on down in the valley.  Come and enjoy the fun and help us support Old Time, Old Time Fiddling, Bluegrass and Traditional American Acoustic Music & Education in the North State.

2017 Band Line up

Wood & Wire

Wood & Wire Band

Wood & Wire:  “It’s been five years now since Wood & Wire sprouted out of the rich musical soil of Austin, Texas.  In that time, they’ve written music, recorded albums, and performed at some of the most notable festivals and venues across the country.

In the often tightly defined genre of bluegrass music, Wood & Wire’s “band-style” ethos are not unheard of.  Nor are the elements of song crafting, so often associated with their Texas home, that permeate their sound.  That said, what comes out of the Wood & Wire blender is something entirely its own.”

Danita Gardner

Originally from Idaho, Danita Gardner now lives in the San Fransisco Bay area. She once taught fiddle and had a full studio but has spent the last five years chasing her daughter around. Danita competes in fiddle contests and has won both the Grand Masters in Nashville TN and the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest in Weiser ID three times each. She received her undergraduate degree from Sam Huston State University in Texas, and her Master’s degree at Boise State University in Violin Pedagogy.

Stormy Weather

Cover Girl

Janie Seeger and Diane Blaylock, together known as “Cover Girl,” is a dynamic duo that has recently been added to the lineup for the Summer Mountain Music & Arts Festival. They like to say their style is “Funky-Twang.” They play everything from “Snooze to Blues,” music from every decade – 40s and forward, covers and originals. Thanks “Cover Girl” for helping take this year’s festival to the next level!

Nicki Carlisle and Friends

“Nicki Carlisle and Friends” will be joining the lineup of bands at the Summer Mountain Music & Arts Festival. Nicki performs with a number of groups throughout the North State and competes in fiddle competition all throughout California and Nevada. She is a former California State Champion Fiddler and is active in the California State Old Time Fiddlers, District 6. In addition to performing she also teaches fiddle and has touched the lives of so many fiddlers, young and old. She will be joined on stage by her friends and backup players, Al Myers and Don Nichols.
